How my bullion was stolen
I"d like to tell you a story that happened to me two years ago. It was a very hot summer. I live in a small town, in a quite densely built-up area. My house is at the end of the street and there is one house next to mine and another opposite mine. I used to keep some gold and silver bullion at home. I didn"t keep it in a safe, which would have been much more sensible of me. I just kept it in a chest of drawers, under piles of socks and T-shirts. As I have already mentioned, the summer was really hot that year. We all kept the windows wide open during the day and at night as well. Today I know it was really dangerous. Somebody must have been observing me through the open window, and it was especially easy because I always left the curtains undrawn. They must have seen me putting the bullion in the drawer, I"m sure of that. What is more, I should have closed the windows for the night. The thieves did not even have to break in, they just entered the house through the living room without waking me. They took my bullion from the chest of drawers and left the house. They did not take anything else. I don"t know who they were and the police said there were no clues left. If you have some gold or silver bullion, don"t keep it at home unless you are absolutely sure it is hidden in a good place.
